How do I remove sticky sap from wooden garden furniture?

Public Comments

  1. You can use something that has orange oil in it...it's like goof off but it won't ruin your furniture, let it sit for a couple of minutes and the removal is a breeze. I use it all the time to get stickers and gum off of stuff.

You can pick it up at hardware stores (and MAYBE drugstores) & it's called Goo Gone
  2. this is natural oils escaping from knots when the wood heats up. seal the knots with a timber treatment, ask for at any DIY shop.
  3. Haven't a clue but i sure am dying to fiond out!!!
  4. Here is a short but useful tip. Use Mineral Spirits to remove the sap. Hope this helps.
  5. Use knotting solution available from ScrewFix
