How do you clean cellular blinds?

They are about 7 years old and are really dingy - can I take them to a dry cleaners? Do carpet/upholstery cleaners clean blinds too?

1. soak them in your bath tub with a very,very mild cleaner--then let them air dry---then rehang
2. Use the hand held fabric cleaner attatchment from a rug steamer you rent at the store. Works great!
