- Soak them in the tub with some laundry detergent and bleach, swish them up and down. Take a rag and wipe them. Rinse them, take them outside to drip dry if possible. Remember to hold a towel under them as you take them out as they will be drippy.
Another way is to take them outside in the drive way and take a hose to them. Spray them with some kind of cleaner like 409, take a broom or scrub brush to them, spray them off and hang them somewhere to drip dry. Good luck! =)
- never clean them -- they can only build up so much dirt.
- Still hanging, open them up and do a feather dust at least once a week.
- I would say either take them down and wash them in the bathtub, or, take them down and hang them over a fence or something outside to wash them.
- When I had mini blinds I took them down, put them in the bathtub in warm soapy water (just with dishwashing liquid) and swished them back and forth, then drained the tub, filled back with cold water to rinse and hung them over my clothesline to dry.
- Take them down and hang them on nails outside. {I hang them in front of my garage on nails} Spray them with "Greased Lightning" and then use your garden hose and wash and rinse them down. Easy and works great.
You can purchase Greased Lightning at Dollar General or most stores.
- the bathtub is the best way to clean very dirty plastic blinds.warm soapywater, dip them in and out several times..no need to rinse
- I take them outside and lay them out and scrub them with dish soap and a rag. Simply spraying them with water doesn't help, you really have to scrub that grime away, then rinse them off really well and hang them to dry outside. Don't forget to turn them over and srub the other side too.
