What do you think of the Austin Home & Garden Show? It is going to be the 11th annual one according to www.showtechnology.com so I am sure lots of you have attended. What would you like to see there that is missing? I KNOW it has a large attendence, surely SOMEONE out there has been at least once.
Is a big Home Show worth the price for advertising and selling? We own a small furniture company where we make custom wood furniture and children's furniture and have just started and need to get our name out there, sell, advertise more, etc. Is a big Home Show worth it, like a Decorating and Remodeling Home Show for our State? It's VERY expensive for our budget and we'd have to take out a big business loan for a small business. Is this something worth getting into debt for and what are the possible/potential returns from selling at a four day Home & Garden Show?
Whats the name of that girl from Saturday Disney and after that a home and garden show? Desperately trying to remember the name of this TV personality I had a huge crush on - she was on Saturday Disney around the same time as Shelly Craft i think? and then went to a home and garden show where she would always be wearing shorts, boots, singlet and cowboy hat. Not Suzy Wilks but kind of looks a little like her. If anyone could remind me it would be great, its driving me crazy for some reason.
What to do or Not to do to my home? This is my first home and I'm moving out in about 6 years. We already have been in here about a year. My husband and I are in the military and next year, I am getting out to go to college full time. I want to spruce up the master bathroom(appliance rearrange) and the tv room(closet from hell) and the garage( theater room) but I don't want to put so much money in this house and kick myself when it's time to sell. How do you know what to mess with, when to get a contractor, how to figure out your budget, what to do yourself, how much is too much, when to hire the realtor to evaluate what to do in the house (like on the home and garden shows), when i should hire a designer to get the most out of my home without spending too much money or time or whether it's worth doing at all, when to get a survey of the area.... oh boy....
Lawn and Garden question? I saw something on a home and garden show but I dont remember what it is called. It measures how much sun certain parts of your yard gets. You stick it in the ground and move it around to see what areas recieve the most sun throughout the day. Anyone know????
What is involved in "staging" my home for the Real Estate Market? Staging a home for the market will most certainly guarantee you a quicker sell. A home that is "staged" stands out amongst all others. Stat's prove across the country that a properly staged home will sell at the asking price and sometimes above. If you have your home appraised after all repairs, updates and staging is completed you may well get a higher appraisal value on the home. If you are looking to "stage" your home on your own we suggest that you get professional advise from a professional home stager so that you are certain that your home is show ready. We at Home Stages Designs offer many Home Staging ebooks to assist the do-it-yourselfers out there. When following the lead of a professional you can rest assured that your home is going to sell quicker than all others that are not show ready. Now days, potential buyers expect to purchase homes that are ready to move into and that they do not have to plunk alot of money into at the onset of the purchase. These are the buyers that will give you your asking price without hesitation. Make the perfect first impression and sell your home now! See us for more details and related ebooks to get you started on your way to fast home sell. See us at http://www.homestages.com/ or on ebay at Nonfiction Books/Home&Garden/Home Decor/Home Staging
Does anyone know of a cheaper option for Stain Glassed windows? I am wanting to replace a frosted piece of glass in my front door with a more colourful stain glass style to suit my heritage home. I remember seeing a Better Homes & Garden show years ago which used this cheaper version. Just curious as to what its called so that I can phone around for prices. Thankyou

How do I build a patio deck out of pallets? I caught the tail end of one of those home and garden shows talking about building a deck with wood pallet and wanted more information..problem is I can't remember what show it was on.
Best Sheets Ever, I saw them at a Home and Garend Show anyone purchase them? OK, so at a recent Home and Garden Show I saw this booth, The Best Sheets Ever, here is their website; http://www.thebestsheets.com/ I contacted them and they want $19.99 per set (one flat, one fitted and two pillow cases) plus $10 shipping for up to two sets. They claim that their sheets are 400 Thread Count. Is that a good count to? Is this a good thing? Does anyone have these sheets/purchased them. Any advice you can give me would be great! Thanks :) I'm not looking for other reccomendations, just looking for information on these sheets.
How do I segment the higher end projects, in a high volume low price market? I own a fence company. I have a website, 800 #, and signage on my truck. The market price of fence has fallen to the natural price. Bigger companies suck up work at low prices, and try to make up for it in volume. I did a home and garden show 2 weeks ago, and nothing has hit. I dont advertise in local papers or flyers, because most of my time will be wasted by price shoppers. what is they best way to convey quality and service to the 20% of the market that wants it?
Have honeycomb granite counter tops? I recently went to a home and garden show and saw a product i had never seen before: a thin granite slab on top of honeycomb structure aluminum. Now I have a bit of a background in materials engineering, and it sounds logical to me. I am wondering if anyone on here has first/second hand experiance owning it. has it held up so far? How long has it been in place? Any tips?

How to make a small hanging tin man for my garden?! Help!!? I am looking to make a hand made hanging tin man out of cans I have around the house for my yard...the reason being because they are rather expensive to buy pre made and I'm sure I can accomplish making one on my own. I'm curious though as to how I would fit the cans together to make the tin man's body?? Fold Down Clothes Drying Rack? I'm looking for a fold down clothes drying rack, shown on the Oz Better Homes & Gardens TV Show laundry makeover on June 29th. The drying rack went across a window, and cost $22 according to the show. Where can I buy one?
Are there tv shows that help people get a job? I'm on vacation watching home and garden channel getting all sorts of ideas of what to look for when I buy a home. I pondered the thought that it's likely more people are looking for a job than a home. Is there some tv program that does a resume makeover or coach interview skills and other job hunting techniques? I'm sure there's a huge market for it.
Property buying and home makeover shows!? Since giving up work to look after my baby son I've been watching a lot of terrible daytime TV but these shows really are my most hated! I switch them over straight away! Firstly, why show these programmes full of smug snooty middle class people spending £400,000 on a Victorian semi with a "perfect" dining room, in the daytime when only the unemployed and unemployable are watching, most of whom consider themselves lucky to get a 1 bed flat off the council??? Secondly is this some kind of conspiracy to make us all feel guilty that we can't afford £400,000 on a house and even if we had a dining room wouldn't use it for "dinner parties" - just seems we're returning to the middle class snobbery of yesteryear. And as for the "selling houses" one - "ooh this house will never sell! There are some small weeds growing in the garden and your dog smells". Really? Well you bootfaced btich you have obviously never had children or lived in a "real" house have you! Silly cow!
