Converting a 1 Car Garage into office and shed? I am purchasing an older home with a detached 1 car garage. The garage was built when smaller cars were the norm and most people in the neighborhood only use it for storage. We are thinking about eventually converting the garage into an finished office and separate storage space (like a shed for garden type storage items). Would this be a mistake in terms of re-sale?
Regulations re garden buildings? What are the regulations with regard to the errection and use of buildings on garden land...specifically if these are to be used or are being used as an office/study?
How do I get rid of moles in my garden.? I've tried everything: gas smoke bombs, traps, spikes that are supposed to impale them, urine, human hair, attempts to drown, castor oil(mole rid spray), gum, moletox poison, poison peanuts, grub-ex, ultra-sonic chasers, soap/cayenne pepper/hotsauce/baby shampoo mixture, even trying to electrocute those bastards with some bare extension cord wire plugged into a easily tripable office spike protector. None of that crap works, believe me, so don't bother trying it. These things are driving me crazy, I've switched to container gardening because they dig tunnels by the roots and all my plants dry up or the mice get in the tunnels and eat on the roots and bulbs. I am at the point where I think I realy can't do a darn thing about it. I fell like Bill Murray in Caddieshack because they are laughing at my feeble attempts :)
What are the health risks of having a live-in dog in a one-room flat? Garden is toilet, but sleeps indoors.? Dog is docile, quiet and lovable. My partner rescued him - was traumatised and abandoned as a puppy. Now I share studio with boyfriend and, although I vacuum all the time to remove hair, I've had recurrent eye infections, urinary infections and vaginal infections. May be no connection, but I'm worried. Boyfriend reluctant to have dog sleeping outside, although he's calm and no reason not to. Also does not believe there may be health risks. Despite my efforts, he does not keep to separate washing up cloths etc for the dog I love dog very much but would be happier if I knew what the risks were. Flat is one large room with kitchen one end and living room/office at the other, with separate bathroom/WC. Door opens onto small garden, shared with three cats.
can anyone help me define what a communal garden is? i live in a upstairs cottage flat which i am in the process of buying from the council. When i first moved into the flat i was told by my local housing office that the garden to the entrance of my property was mine and it was my responsiblity to maintain. Now that i have come to buy my flat the council want me to pay for maintance to the "communal gardens" within the annual service charge. this figure is £821.50. i have disputed this with the council but they aren't reasoning with me and insist that my garden is communal. Can anyone give me advice to clarify what a communal garden is? the lady that lives below me has her garden at the rear of her property and is only accessable via her property. that to me isn't communal! I'd be greatful for any advice.
Wealthy banker called me into his office (when I was trimming bushes in his garden)? and notified me that all three his daugters fell in love with me. All three his daugthers are young and beautiful, Mary has PhD in business, Bekki is about to get PhD in political sciencies, and Eva is about to graduate from university (she is the youngest). Mary enjoys plaing tennis, Bekki plays soccer like a pro, and Eva is a star in university voleyball. They are know to spend a lot of time discussing other sports and are of oppinion that men should regularily drink beer in company of their friends. The banker also mentioned, that in case I marry one of his daughters, he will hand me $10,000,000 worth of stock, retire and make me the president of the bank. In case I refuse he would be forced to find another gardener. Should I propose to one of his daugthers, or stick with my current girfriend next door?

The builder started mixing and pouring the concrete this morning, then ran our of cement. He said would finish on Monday but, I thought foundations had to be laid in one go. Will by building be damaged by this? Thanks for your help
Will a Wisteria grow inside under office lighting? I saw this advertised http://www.amazon.com/Grow-Your-Bonsai-Rock-Garden/dp/B000Q3ZPSI and I'd love to get it to grow in my cubicle. I'd hate to buy it only to find out that it won't grow with indoor conditions under flourescent lighting, 'tho. Any gardeners out there have any advice? I'm a beginner gardener (I started growing a Chia pet earlier this week.)
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT the job for me? I have to say that I love to get outside and garden. It all goes back when I would do get out in the garden every spring with my grandparents as a child. Overall, I don't know if I would like the profession because I don't think it is going to be as involved with the "gardening" aspect as I would like and might be more like an office job where planning is primarily done. Any suggestions?
How was Roman housing similar to our home today and how did it differ? The lower class Romans (plebeians) lived in apartment houses, called flats, above or behind their shops. Even tradesmen might have chosen to live in an apartment-building compound over their store, with maybe renters on the upper stories. Their own apartments might be quite roomy, sanitary and pleasant, occasionally with running water. But others were not that nice. In the flats an entire family (grandparents, parents, children) might all be crowded into one room, without running water. They had to haul their water in from public facilities. Fire was a very real threat because people were cooking meals in crowded quarters, and many of the flats were made of wood. They didn't have toilets in the flat so they had to use public ones. The upper class Romans (patricians) lived in single family homes, which in Ancient Rome meant the great grandparents, grandparents, parents, and kids of one family lived in a home together. Homes were made, quite often, of brick with red tile roofs, with rooms arranged around a central courtyard. The windows and balconies faced the courtyard, not the street, to keep homes safe from burglars. There were paintings on the walls and beautiful mosaics on the floor. There was very little furniture, and no carpeting. Wealthy Romans might have a house with a front door, bedrooms, an office, a kitchen, a dining room, a garden, a temple, an atrium, a toilet, and a private bath.

Seat Upgrades at Madison Square Garden? I'm attending my first concert on 2/21 to watch Linkin Park and I was wondering if MSG allowed seat upgrades the night of the concert. Do you think I can go to the Box Office and ask for better seats if there are any available? As of right now, my seats are behind the stage.
Does any one deliver letters for the post office? My daughter had 3 parcels she was waiting for, she missed the postie as she was out in garden they left a note to say she can collect next day after 2pm. When she collected them there was an elastic band holding them two gether, if the post lady had taken off the rubber band all 3 parcels would have fitted through the letter box one at a time, is there a health & safety issue here or was it just lazyness on her behalf I forgot to mention none of the parcels needed a signiture
How have the New York Knicks become such a disgrace? It's just a total debacle now. What goes on in your average day at Madison Square Garden front offices? Is it like those Career Builder ads, where everyone's a monkey? Honestly! They've taken the Clipper's place as the league-wide joke of the NBA!
